Great space, easy going and a real sense of hygge here, staff were super helpful and friendly, being a smoker (boo..!!) I was able to grab a coffee and wander the grounds without a care in the world). You can eat in the restaurant or the bar, the menu is the same and both options are relaxed and informal. Stayed for a couple of nights for a concert at the barbican, an Uber is around a tenner (double this for the post midnight trip back though) Ample car park, cold beer, clean rooms, certainly coming back here.

I like the ambience of the hotel and it's proximity to York. The woman at reception upon arrival was excellent and on behalf of the hotel she treated me to a birthday drink on the house, that was so appreciated, it's nice to get treated that way. The breakfast staff go out of their way to make everything exceptional for you at breakfast time. The bar man in the evening is very good at his job, very pleasant natured man. Overall, excellent.

This hotel is in the perfect location. 10 min drive into the centre of York and 5 mins away from a park and ride. We got to our room and unfortunately the heating did not work so we went to the reception desk to tell them of the issue and they were very understanding. They went to check the issue whilst we went out for dinner. Unfortunately they could not get the heating to work but they did offer an alternative of a small heater or to switch rooms. We opted to switch rooms and they offered us the superior suite! This room is fantastic and definitely made our weekend! Would recommend the hotel to anyone. Clean, classic look and very friendly helpful staff 5 ⭐

The location was beautiful, large car parking for free, easy to find and a few minutes drive from York town center.. Room was clean, comfy bed and tea and coffee facilities, air dryer and toiletries in bathroom. Shower was great. The reception hall and restaurant were beautiful, staff was friendly. Management accepted to change my booking when I booked the wrong date in error. They accepted Booking.com request and it was really nice of them.

The staff is so welcoming.Very kind and nice.The room was clean and up to the standard.The food is amazing and the fact that you can order from the room makes everything easier.

Super friendly staff, really nice food in the bar/restuarant. Cheap and way nicer than we expected for the price. I navigated it fine as an ambulatory wheelchair user. Considering returning next year. Quick taxi ride from York station.

Breakfast was fine plenty to choose from. The dinner menu was very restricted for myself. Staff were very attentive. It was great having the bus stop across the road..

This hotel was great for a visit to York, not in the centre but a reasonably priced taxi ride away. The weather was awful on this visit for us (storm Darragh) so taxis were busy during the day but you could get them easily. Room was a great size, good sized bathroom with toiletries. Comfy bed and all facilities you would need - Tea and coffee - Yorkshire Tea! :-) Great value! we would stay here again on our next visit

staff are 110% lovely hotel very cosy and welcoming. Room clean, we went for a prestige room in gorgeous and had everything we needed and more.. Beds were comfy and quilt and pillows very nice. heating in the room was perfect when we arrived we turned it off as we like the Cold. but there was a fan too! bar was staff was amazing, friendly and very efficient. If I had cash I would of tipped them! because they worked so hard to ensure a high standard and they reached it. taxi cost 14 pounds each way to the town centre which reception helped with.

The decor and furnishings in public area were spotless, generous and sumptuous. The room was spotless, good size with everything you need and a very comfortable bed During breakfast we noticed how efficient the staff were. The staff were constantly Working but without the guests really noticing because they were so efficient. Wide selection of good quality food for breakfast options. Even the carpet in the breakfast area looked clean which you wouldn't expect in a food area. Reception staff were really helpful and polite. All staff were dressed impeccably. The uniforms were very smart. Location couldn't have been better to access park and ride into York.
